Food and Inflammation

Does anyone know the foods that are good for reducing inflammation? I've been reading some on this but can't remember what some of them are. I would assume anything processed needs to be cut out. I have a knee that has been inflammed for about 4 days (at least I hope that is all it is).

Montmorency cherry/tart cherry juice is supposed to help with inflammation, when drunk regularly.
Here's a news article with reference to the original study underneath:

However, if your knee is really inflamed I would go see the doctor. Icing it and raising it up might help too.
Good luck.

I have heard the SPICE Tumeric is an anti inflammatory. You could search the net to see how to use it. You might also check your local health food store for a supplement if you use them.0

While not a 'food,' Arnica is a fantastic anti-inflammatory. I use it whenever I need to take an NSAID. You can find the dissolvable tablets (you put them under your tongue) at most herbal or specialty health food stores.0

avoid potatoes, tomatoes and eggplant since they contain solanine.
Walnuts, soy, dried tart cherries, turmeric, omega-3 and olive oil, blueberries, strawberries, flax and pumpkin seeds are a few items you can use that have anti-inflammatory properties.
i would still get your knee checked however.0 -
