Calorie confusion

Hi guys, odd question.....my macros are C170 P260 F60. Which comes to 2260 calories.
C170 x4= 680
P260 x4= 1040
F60 x9 = 540
=2260 cals

However im hitting my macros almost bang on, but when i track all my foods MFP says my calorie intake is above 2260?

How can that be ??

Thanks

Don't some things not have macros... like wine for example...

Some people enter things into the MFP database incorrectly. They may put in net carbs instead of actual carbs, so when you choose that item, the calories are correct, but the carb count isn't. And yeah, alcohol doesn't show up in the basic protein, carbs and fat. It's its own macro, basically.

Also, it was recently pointed out to me that the total calories listed on quest bars don't work out either... that they're also taking the net carbs before even factoring into their own listed calories per serving or something. I checked with mine and it was true. So a bar that said 210 calories on the package was actually 270 when you added the grams of fat, carbs and protein together.

I used the data search all the time before I could scan the bar code and was adding my foods from that. Just recently I stared checking the package with the info on the search items and many of them were wrong. WAY WRONG. How annoying - people put this info in, if you are going to take the time to put it in, PLEASE put it in correctly and double check it before submitting!

I noticed this too. Sometimes they even put the put the fat calories as the total fat.

Ah i see......would you say i should just concentrate on hitting my exact macros, rather than worrying about total calories? Seeing as i know my macros do add up to my calorie goal.....even if MFP tells me they dont??
