I'm not a fan of too many veggies/fruits so I'm just looking to get some opinions on making smoothies. I desperately need to get my binge eating under control and I need to get some healthy foods into my body the problem is that there's only a handful off fruits/veggies that I really like...just wondering if making myself a daily smoothie is a good idea and if there's anything I should know about it in advance. Thanks

If you can find healthy smoothie recipes that you enjoy, then it's a good idea. I've only made a couple of smoothies, so I can't pretend to be an expert, but there are some good recipes floating around this forum.

There is some debate as to weather blending reduces the fiber in fruits and veges but I think you right at this point you need to be getting nutrition in!

I don't have a smoothie everyday but when I do have one it usually includes: banana and the whole smoothie tastes like banana!
What ever berries I have in the fridge - today I had blackberries to use up
    Ice
    skim milk
and a handful of spinach - spinach turns the smoothie greeenish but the smoothie tastes like banana

today I also wanted to use up the last of an avocado and some yogurt so that went in as well

I feel one of the best things about smoothies is that you can hide a bunch of fruits/veges in them!

My favourite smoothie is 140g of frozen blueberries and strawberries, defrosted, blended together with a small banana and topped with 100ml of apple juice. Delicious!
