McD's is the clear cut #1 acrossd the board when cooked perfect and to whoever said BK>MCd is high on crack.
Honorable mentions:
Jack in the box curly fries (taste pretty much the same from Arbys)
Animal Fries from In-N-Out (topped with cheese,1000 island and grilled onions)
Any fries loaded with chili and cheese
All fear mongers GTFO this thread!0 -
McDonalds is good but only hot, and they're not real potato so I don't really count them.
Wendy's are great because they are perfect for dipping into frosties.
Arby's and Jack in the Box have awesome curly fries, and the crisscut fries at Carl's Jr/Hardees are awesomer.
Chic-Fil-A has the best waffle fries though.
Overall best fries: In-n-out. Eat them first so they're hot and get them well done so they're super crispy.
5 Guys is a close runner up because they're seasoning is great, but In-n-Out wins because they're straight potato and I loves me some potatos!
They're not real potato? What are they?0 -
Sonny's BBQ
But I'm trying to cut out fries and fast food period.0 -

Walk in - 5 guys. Idaho potatoes!
Other - Safeco field garlic fries0 -
I like McDonalds fries with Burger King onion ring sauce.
[edit] But they have to be HOT and salty. Otherwise, it's not worth it.0 -

Definitely agree on the Checkers.
I think Chick Fil A waffle fries are the best, but I don't eat there anymore :noway:0 -
This is a tough one. There was a time I would've said McD's, but Chik Fil A's waffle fries & Wendy's fries are pretty good too.
Decisions, decisions. I'll rank 'em:
Wendy's
Chik Fil A
McD's
No matter where they come from, they have to be HOT.0 -
Back in the 90s in the Salt Lake area, we had about half a dozen of these little places called Eat-a-burger. Really small buildings with a drive through on both sides with a rather small dining area.
They had thick cut fries from fresh potatoes that came in regular and also a spicy variety. Great stuff. Like most of the local burger joints here they offered 'fry sauce' to dip them in. (Fry sauce is a Utah creation where you mix in mayonnaise and ketchup and few other spices together. Unhealthy but tasty).
Good sandwiches too. They had a rather simple menu with only about 5 regular sandwiches but had a rotating special they would change about once a week (like a teriyaki chicken sandwich, or a guacamole burger for example).
Great food but sadly they have slowly faded away and the last one closed a few years ago.0 -
Wait! I changed my mind. Jenkins Barbecue's SPICY barbecue sauce covered fries are the winner.0
