bloating

Hi there i just wanted to know if anyone knew anything on bloating? i bloat all the time it look about 3 months pregnant 6 months after eating lol. I am not sure what to do. I have been eating the activa yogurt ( digestive yogurt) which has helped like not feeling so full after a meal. I have stopped drinking soft drink just water and juice for 2 weeks now. I also have been doing walking/ running everyday but still the stomach pops right out lol.

I have been to the doctors for test and i don't have any gluten or lactose problems i don't know what else i can do the doctor reckons thats just my shape. Because i am a small frame it is quite noticeable and i am sick of my family asking me if i am pregnant again because it really gets me down.

I never used to be like this it happened just after my son was born. How can i make it go away. I can't do sit ups etc due to bad muscles that have been ripped in my stomach due to childbirth. I also had ( dont judge me please lol ) liposuction on my stomach but the roundness is still there :(

any suggestions :D

You don't need to abs exercises that won't help you.

You can maybe try tight stomach /loin wraps. Like the ones girls can use after pregnancy to get things back into shape. I guess you might call them corsets. And use lotion on the skin keeping it soft. I am just throwing some things out there not sure whether these will actually help.

I used to have stomach aches from breathing through my mouth all the time. I got air in my stomach and bowels and I felt bad because of it. You probably don't have that but try breathing through your nose anyway.

If it's just the stomach area volume you're concerned about the corsets would be the first thing I'd try if I was a girl.

My stomach is too big too but I know it's where I store most of my fat. If that is your problem too you need more cardio and diet.
  • thanks :D:D i was going to try one of those wraps because i heard thats what jessica alba used to tighten things back up my grandmother also told me she used them :) yeah all my fat goes straight to my belly area haha excellent so running and walkinmg will do the trick that you :D

Hello, I once read a Q in a magazine v similar to yours and one of the suggestions was to ensure to eat slowly. Chew every mouthful 30 times (yes I know it turns to pulp) but you have done the majority of work in breaking down your food before it hits your stomach. By doing this, your stomach has an easy job moving the food through to the intestines. Your meals take longer, but you'll find you will probably eat less (obviously still eat your daily calorie intake, but portion sizes will be less and u will probably eat more often) and you will feel better - this is if it's actually bloating that is your problem.

I have this exact problem when my sodium gets too high. Unfortunately, I love salty foods, so it happens quite often. Are you tracking your intake?

I find that if I consume foods with high sodium I bloat for a few days even with drinking tons of water to flush it out. Also even though I don't have a gluten intolerance or celiac disease I cut out all grains from my diet (for the most part) and that helped a lot! I find if I have a bun for my burger or some french bread, my belly balloons right out for the rest of the day so I try to avoid those things

Have you considered a digestive aid with probiotics like Culturelle or Pearls? I know Activia is touted to be this great thing, but it might contribute to bloating b/c it prob has artificial sweeteners. If you want the good bacteria, eat plain Greek yogurt or Kiefer :)
