Peanut Butter and....

Please.. I mean no offense to any proponents of the apple/pb combo!!

But am I the only one who has grown up relentlessly trying to like the peanut butter and apples combo but never really "got" it? First my mother told me it was a tasty and healthy snack then my teachers... now pintrest and myfitnesspal!

I don't see it going well together at all... recently I tried banana and peanut butter.. now that's pure decadence !

I don't find any combination of fruit/ pb enticing. I'l eat them seperately. In fact keep the fruit, just give me a big jar of pb and Il be good.

I've never been a fan of pb/carrots. Love the apples though. Banana is the best in a sandwich!

PB and most things! if on toast/sandwich I like:

    PB &:
    mashed/sliced banana
    or
    honey
    or
    marmalade
    or
    crushed tinned pineapple
    or
    marmite

    or smeared on celery

or mixed into Greek yogurt with banana and cinnamon

or straight out of the jar with a spoon

or made into nut bars (with digestive biscuits and butter...)

weirdly, I love nuts, but not fond of peanuts unless in pb format. In which case, get out of my way!

It defineately has to be the right apple. Crisp sweet, with a slight tart bite.

    Love PB and Oatmeal. YUMMMM!

I like eating natural peanut butter with Pink Lady apple wedges, AKA the sweetest, most candy-like apples, and some cinnamon sprinkled on top. It's the perfect mix of flavours!

PB and Marshmellow fluff sandwich...... YUMMY deliciousness. Not that its healthy but if you are looking to crave a sweet tooth. There you have it, with protein.

I'm in LOVE with PB & banana sandwiches. There's really just nothing better. Not to mention its a filling meal for me. I feel great after eating it.
PB & Celery is another but i go very light with the PB on each celery stick.

edit: I do not like PB & apples either!! ew.

I didn't realise it was even a 'thing', but one day at home I had the munchies and didn't have any bread or crackers, I looked at an apple and thought, 'yeah, why not' and I ate it every day for about a week after that. I think it's nice! Haven't actually tried PB and banana, but I will need a snack after my workout later, so I think that'll be on the cards.

Apparently, if you slice a bananna, put a splodge of PB in the middle and wang them in the freezer, it's a lovely bite-sized treat.

    2 tablespoons butter

    Directions:

    1

Agree. I can eat PB right out of the jar. Good protein, but I need to watch the calories and carbs eating it. Good stuff!!

I agree with you. Not too big on apples with PB. The combo doesn't work for me. However, like you I think Bananas and PB go great together. Especially on a sandwich or in a smoothie (try adding cocoa powder with a frozen banana and PB along with milk (or use chocolate almond or soy milk) for a homemade smoothie, amazing!).

    How you doin'?

My only problem with pb and apples is the pb doesn't stick to the apple (or any fruit really) unless it's heated up a little. When I can fit it into my day, I like making a pb/banana/tortilla pizza and toasting it in the toaster oven.

I never enjoyed pb until I followed a diabetic 30 days of meals. One lunch is a pb sandwich with sliced apple and raisins. I could get the pb down that way and now use it quite often on toast as well.
