I suffer from insomnia, so I am usually up late at night. I try not to eat late, and have tried to put down the sweets. However, I've noticed it never fails that around midnight I get the strongest craving for something sweet. It's almost like an uncontrollable urge! What do I do to control this hunger and desire for something sweet?! Please help!!

I was and at times still am the same. What I do is drink water before bed. I try to think about how it is not worth eating so late and all the hard work I did for the day will be wasted! Just stay focused and your eyes on the prize.0

I found that Sleepytime tea helped me so much. Its light, slighly sweet and spicy. Its warm and cozy, so it should help you fall back asleep. I try to drink it at my hardest time of evening 8-9pm (right before bed). For some reason the tea acts like a diuretic also. It really helps me reduce the excess water I am holding onto. Most evenings I make 2 cups. I let it steep most of the time it takes me to drink my first cup, then use the same bag for the second. Inexpensive and satisfying, and calorie free0

Ive been trying to tell myself, is it really worth the extra gym time to pay for this. Answer: gosh NO!0

I would say to try chewing sugar free gum....its suppose to really help with sweet cravings and its only like 5 calories a stick so you wont undo all your hard work and since you will be chewing it wont be a mind thing that you still need something to eat. I hope this helps.0

If you feel like you really must eat something, try carrot sticks, Maybe dipped in a TINY bit of sugar, since your chewing it should satisfy you0

Everytime I get a craving for sweets, I just go to the fridge and grab some cauliflower or broccoli and eat that. It is so much healthier and better for you to not eat those tempting sweets. Like littlemamajamie said chew gum, I do that at work it helps. Hope we all helped you!!0

Thank you guys for the great suggestions! I feel like now that I am trying to be healthy it is a nightly struggle to stay away from the sweets. I will literally wake up from a dead sleep and want to go into the kitchen for something sweet. Luckily I've surrounded myself with nothing but healthy foods. However, I've been able to find a decent fix for the time being - freeze pops. You know, the ones that come 100 to a box. There are only 15 calories to each one and they are sweet and can last long enough to serve their purpose! I also find that chewing gum helps too!!!0
