I am new to my fitness pal

Today was my first day on MFP. I lost 25 lbs on weight watchers but have gained 20 lbs back after hurting my back and stopping workouts. I am a veteran and a full time student majoring in marketing. I never thought that I would be back in school at almost 50. I have a husband and 19 year old son and my son is also in college. I have started a MOVE program through the Veterans Administration and they gave me the link to MFP. Wish me luck!!!

First of all let me say 2 things: You are AMAZING for going back to school. It's never too late to do what you wanna do unless you're dead. Also, 50? YOU LOOK FABULOUS!

Welcome! I've also had success on WW but gained it back! But I have found MyFitnessPal is a lot easier to work with. You don't have convert your food to points, simply add what you eat. And it's great if you have a smart phone, it has found almost everything I scanned (even generic brands!)...I just sent you a friend request :flowerforyou:

Thanks, everyone! I just did 55 lunges, 100 crunches and 30 push ups (girly ones). I have to build up my strength in upper body to do full push ups, again. I have been out of the army since 1987 so it has been a while!!! I am president of the Eagle Vets on campus so the Army has definitely opened a lot of doors for me. I just finished a work study for the Director of Military Initiatives on campus (he is a retired Lt. Colonel from the Army). He wanted me to work in the fall but I have a full plate with 15 credits for my marketing major and Visual Arts minor. Next month I have a private internship with the director of Marketing. I am excited but a little scared because I don't know what all it will entail. I would like to get some of my weight off before I start! This is a good place to get support and motivation.
