Anyone else struggling to maintain weight loss

I hit the target I set myself and have lost as much weight as I really want to. I've been using myfitnesspal since May last year and I am now finding it hard to eat enough food to stop losing. I did have a few days when I went away and I gained 1lb however now I've lost that and a further 3! Anyone got any sucess stories with maintaining?

Any help with healthy food to eat would be greatly appreciated as I'm already eating 3 meals a day and having snacks and even having the occasional naughty treat. I don't want to lose any more.

How many calories are you eating, and how many calories were you eating when you lost the weight?

I think that after you reach your goal, it is best to calculate what your TDEE is (your maintenance level of calories) and then increase your intake by about 100 calories each week until you get there while keeping close watch on things to make sure you are not gaining. Just weigh yourself and take measurements once a week, and when you find a week where you did not gain/lose weight after increasing a few calories, stay at that level for a couple of more weeks. If you still stay the same, then you have found the amount of calories that you need to consume in order to maintain.

I have been maintaining successful now for about three months. I have actually upped my calories a couple of times as I have increased my exercise levels but don't want to lose anymore. Feel free to add me and check out my diary. Although I have upped my calories, I have tried to do it in the right way, by eating more protein, yogurts, nuts, etc, more frequently, rather than eating rubbish like chocolate and sweets because I have the calories to do it! I found that has really worked for me.

There's a few of us in the same boat. I've transitioned to maintenance in March and have since lost around 7 more lbs. Still trying to figure it out!

i have been maintaining for over a year. to be honest i never struggled with eating more, i love my food! i just added in extra snacks (nuts are great for high cal low volumn) and slightly larger portions. stick to 80% good stuff and a few treats wont do you any harm! (IMHO anyway!)

Don't worry I'm the same, plus went to the doctors and I'm actually taller than I thought, meaning I really don't need to lose anymore. I Want to do it the right way though as the temptation to go buy a load of chocolate is strong but I know it will make me feel like crap after! Slowly increasing to TDEE is probably the way forward!

Thank you everyone for responding. I'm probably still heavier than some people want to be but after losing over 4 stone I'm happy and I weigh the same as when I was 18  I was eating between 1200 and 1300 to lose weight and I am now attempting to eat 1750 but struggle to eat this much some days.
