Measuring

Is it worth measuring my waist, hips, etc. now even though I've already lost weight? I guess it would be useful, but I wish I had when I started because maybe there are already some changes. I don't even know HOW to measure everything right. Tips? Shoulda searched, I know, but I'm in a hurry to the gym!

Food scales are wonderful. They take the guesswork out of stuff, especially when you get stuff like "Italian Bread - Serving Size: 1/10 of the loaf (100g)" but there are 23 slices and they're all different sizes. That 100g, though, will always be consistent, and you figure out how much a bread slice is by weighing it.

Doh, sorry! Shoulda been more specific. I mean measuring my hips, waist, etc. Is that worth measuring now even though I already lost some weight?

    Oh, loooooooooool. I'm dead.

It's a great way to measure progress, even if you didn't measure at the beginning. Sometimes, it seems like the weight doesn't want to come off, but you're shrinking.

Definitely start measuring and also take some photos. The weightloss may slow down but your body shape can still change by losing inches rather than scale weight

    Bust
    Hips
    Waist
    Thigh
    Neck
    Bicep

Those are the ones I measure

Never too late to start. I only measure 1x a month and didn't start until 2 months in. Just google images of taking measurements.

I didn't start measuring till half way through, maybe 2/3 way through.
I got to my initial weight loss goal, then decided to lower my bodyfat without any concern about the numbers on the scale. Measuring works even better now, since the scale may barely be moving with only only eating at a slight deficit and heavy lifting, yet my measurements are changing still

I measured for the first time two weeks ago and will probably only do it once/month. I measure:

    Neck
    Bust
    Bicep
Stomach (where I store most of my body fat)
    Waist
    Hips
    Thighs
