If I start the p90x, but can't do it everyday, do you think I would get the same results? I want to try and do it everyday, but sometimes life just gets in the way and there's no time...

TIA! ~Mere

I haven't gotten 'totally ripped' but have certainly gotten some decent results from P90X, did my own nutrition program AND only worked out 5 days a week. Don't sweat one or two (or even three) missed days. It's the overall pattern of consistent exercise that counts. Life happens.

    Best of luck!

P90X is a pretty serious program, and I dont know if you'll get the results you want if u dont follow the daily routine. The whole reasoning behind it is the muscle confusion which wont work if your not working different muscles every day.....thats just my opinion but you can always try it to see how it goes????

Congrats on making the life-changing decision of pushing play!
Basically, you will get as much out of the program as you put into it. Doing P90x as often as you possibly can would be ideal, so even if that isn't every single day, exercising 3-5 times per week beats the heck out of not exercising at all.

    Best of luck!

i really dont think u could get the same results as someone who is doing it every day. BUT i think you should totally attempt to do it as much as you can! Its a great workout whether you can do it 3 or 6 times a week. I start week two tomorrow and I am loving it! I get up at 530am just so I CAN have the time in my schedule!

I did the original power 90 back in '99 - got in great shape, then proceeded to gain back all the weight and then some. I think using a program like that in a moderate way for the rest of your life is more better. But that's just me.

I think you should do it everyday to get some good results.

I'm doing Insanity & I had times where my day seemed too busy to fit in a workout but I reminded myself that if I do that to myself I know I'll do it again. So I just make sure I do my workout! If I wasn't doing insanity everyday I don't think I would get the results I have now and I'm only on week 5!

Like last week I had my sister here, my nephew, and my husband is on leave for 30 days. I was like great! (i don't like when people are around me when I exercise unless they are doing it too. When it came time for me to excerise I "kicked" them out of the house lol or when my husband and nephew were going to do some Army stuff at 4am, as soon as they left I popped that dvd in - yep 4:30am!

I have a friend who reminds us all - - no excuses!!

    You can do it!!

I think ti myself if I have an extra time in my day to watch TV , go on the computer, etc than I can use that time to workout!

When I first started my weight loss I was doing a modified P90x routine. So I would do the routines 2 or 3 times a week, and the other days I would just ride the exercise bike for 30 - 45 minutes. It was what worked for me at the time because I was really starting from scratch. I didn't get "ripped" but I lost 33 lbs and really jump started my metabolism. I have since moved on to insanity that I am actually doing on schedule (6 days a week). I definitely like staying on the schedule, it really keeps me motivated to get my set in every night and not miss any, but I don't regret starting out slow and not using the P90x schedule.

You are worth an hour a day to make yourself feel better..............Yes once every couple of weeks of missing a day will not kill you.....Just if you have to make sure you do something and make sure you do all ninety days.....even if you have a off day once in a while...don't miss the workouts though

I think this is a perfectly wonderful way to use the program. Sometimes we need to listen to our bodies, and doing a program in a less extreme or intense way isn't necessarily a bad way to go. It's the consistency over the long haul that matters, whether it's four days a week or six.

I don't think you will make the same gains if you don't do it everyday, but i believe you will make gains nevertheless. What you can do is if you can't do it everyday, try to do something that will give you some kind of exercise like brisk walking.
