I am looking for a way to up my protein without raising the carbs and I am tired of chicken and pork. Any ideas!

  • Yeah buy some whey protein power and have maybe like 2 scoops a day. Or have a couple egg whites for breakfast.

    Greek yogurt! Look for the non-sweetened ones (for me there is WAY too much sugar in the sweetened ones). You can always mix in a touch of honey to help.

    Quinoa is an excellent source! (I THINK i'm spelling it correctly.)

    Edamame (again I hope I spelt it correctly), very good also.

    Quinoa and edamame will add carbs, it is true. HOWEVER if you plan it into your dinner, not as a chicken substitute you'll be fine.

    Try adding in good Protien powder in. I use a great one it is by ultimate Nutrtion and called ISO Sensation 93\. It is a whey protien and in the top 3 of the best kind. I use vanilla bean. You can make shakes and add fruit to or yogurt to it. Also Greek Yogurt has more protien then the others. I do a sccop or two a day and that is 30-60 extra grams of it.
