Any tips for keeping them from spoiling so fast, besides eating them all in one sitting?

Try slicing off the portion you want but leaving the pit in the rest that you will be storing, and wrap it in saran wrap, pressing it down against it all as much as possible to keep any air out. I can make one last in the fridge 4 days like that (well, because I eat a quarter of it every day).0

I put them in the fridge and they seem to last a bit longer.0

This is precisely what I do and it does work. Leave the pit IN.0 -
If you're eating half, leave the pit in the other half and put in the fridge...it'll only last a couple of days though...once you open those up, you pretty much have to eat 'em. No biggie for me, I have a half avocado almost every day.0
