Hi all. So, I went to the store today and wanted to shop for groceries to make healthy meals - I came out with feta cheese and some Special K waffles and a few other things, but nothing to make healthy meals with! How stupid. I always find myself getting things for my toddler and fiancé, but after I'm done, there's nothing for me in the cart. It's been very challenging trying to shop for healthy meals....what do I get? Where do I start? Any advice, lists, ANYTHING would help. TIA

Just in case you weren't aware of this feature, when you go to the message boards section, there is a button called search and you can type in a keyword (ex: grocery) and you can see the threads that have already been created on the topic. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

I do better when I keep it simple. Weekdays... Breakfast is oatmeal or Ezekiel toast (I like sesame seed or flax) with PB2
Lunch is Grilled (organic) chicken breast salad with light dressing. (1/2 breast)
Dinner is tuna salad made with plain greek yogurt, lemon juice and dill weed and
whole grain crackers or make it a salad. Some nights I make spinach frittata.
Stay away from processed foods! Drink lots of water and watch sodium intake. Good luck!0 -

Thanks for the list, Melinda. I was wondering what the best tasting ground turkey/turkey burger brand is? I've tried a lot of ground turkey brands and some are really nasty.
Just wanted to reply to this, I usually buy Jennie-o turkey BUT I've noticed with all ground turkey I have to really, REALLY overseason it. I used to eat ground beef and wouldn't season all that much. But once switching to turkey, I've found that if I don't go a little overboard with the seasoning then it just tastes yucky. Anyway...great thread and I also need help with shopping lists so thank you for posting!0 -
look at my diary.. lol. i log ingredients most of the time instead of meals...
PS: jennie-O use BHA.. so if you care about that sort of thing.. you'll want to avoid it..0 -
