Does it REALLY matter if you can gain muscle on a deficit

or not? Just lift weights, deficit or no deficit. It's fun. It's challenging. It makes you feel bad-*kitten*. It's good for your bone density and your blood pressure. It's awesome to be stronger. And yes, it'll make you look better at the end of your weight loss "journey" :flowerforyou: (in my opinion, and yes, I just used the word journey).

    In all seriousness, I agree. Strength training is good for your health even if rock-hard triceps aren't attainable.

    Lifting while on a deficit will help so that you don't LOSE the muscle you already have. That's what a lot of people don't seem to get.
