I gave up beer/lager which has helped me lose weight but I replaced it with vodka and diet coke.

Looking for something non alcoholic so I can still go out that's not too expensive and will last a while.

I don't drink alcohol, so at the pub I ALWAYS order a lime & soda (lime cordial & soda water) - it's like 10 cals and is lovely and big!

If you're in the UK (I'm guessing becuase you distinguised between beer and lager!), definitley don't order an orange juice and lemonade - it's SO EXPENSIVE. Plus you don't need all the added sugar in lemonade/coke things like that!

    I second Lime & Soda - it's a long drink and refreshing.

A Rock Shandy is lovely too, you would just have to remember how to make it and tell the bar staff.

    Recipe

Use a tall glass, half to 3/4 filled which ice

Add half a glass of lemonade or soda water to half a glass of ginger ale

Add a dash of Angostura bitters and a slice of lemon and stir.

Gorgeous and best enjoyed on a hot and sunny day.

Water is pretty cheap...and it lasts.
