Detox cleansers?

Anyone know if detox cleansers really work? If so which ones? I heard the acai berry was a good one but I don't want to waste money.

What do you think is in your body that you need to detox and cleanse out?

You have organs for detoxing and cleansing. Don't fall for the detox and cleanse hype. They are ALL a waste of money.

Your liver and kidneys already do all the detoxifying of your body. If they aren't, you need to go to a doctor and he's not going to EVER recommend some scam drink. He's going to put you on dialysis.

Javex is a great cleanser. Cheap and you'll be spic and span top to bottom!

You don't need to detox or cleanse your insides. You have organs to do that. Eat good food, drink water and all will be well.

I've never really ate all that well until recently and I still dont eat the greatest (but def a lot better then I have it's still a work in progress). I had several people tell me that I needed to do a detox cleanser to rid myself from the bad things I have eaten. So Im really not sure what I would need to cleanse. Every time I would go to the dr. he would just get on me about my weight being extremely high but other then that I've been healthy with the exception of blood pressure being elevated.

Plenty of water will help your organs do their job, as will a healthy diet containing ALL food groups.

    End of.

Unless you're prone to cystitus, in which case drink cranberry juice.

You don't need a detox/cleanse. Just start eating healthy and drinking enough water.

You don't need a detox to rid yourself from anything "bad" you have eaten. Personally, I don't think anything is bad to eat (provided there is no medical issue) as long as you are controlling your quantities.

Don't fall for detoxes and cleanses. Just start changing your eating and drink more water. Eat more fresh foods and cut out processed foods. Drink more water. Make your meals at home instead of ordering out or preparing those frozen or boxed meals. Allow yourself treats now and again.

Your digestive system and organs flush things from your body.

Eating fewer processed foods will lower your salt levels (unless you add crazy amounts to home cooking) and will help lower your bllod pressure - as will exercise and losing weight.

If your Dr couldn't see any reason for "detox" its because there IS no reason. Stick with the healthy food, plenty of water and exercise and you'll be fine.
