GOING FOR A WEIGH IN

I go to my Dr.'s office on Friday mornings to weigh myself and then come home to log it in. I find that by Thursday afternoon I start to feel a little anxious about what the scale will say. It has always been good news for the most part in the past and yet it makes me crazy. I am assuming that it is because always in the past it has been a bad number and it is a reaction.

Just wondering if anyone else has the same experience??

I definately have a bad relationship with my scale. I am hoping that will change the more weight i lose.
  • I weigh in on Monday mornings and I spend the entire day on Sunday anxious. So far each weigh in has been good, but I still get nervous. I think that's just natural. If I didn't get a little anxious about it, then I might not work so hard to avoid a bad weigh in. It keeps me on track.

I understand your feelings. Now that you are on a successful weight loss journey you have to retrain your mind and your body not to feel anxious or expect bad news but to expect great news becuase you've been working hard and are constantly taking steps towards losing that weight.

It takes a while to retrain your mind but you have to counteract every negative thought with 2 positive ones.

Well done for all your success so far. :glasses:

I am weighing at home once a week. It's been OK because I know I fluctuate a bit I don't get too hung up on it. But next week I have to go for a check up and be weighed da-da-da on the doctors scale. I dread being weighed on the doctors scale. Maybe I will weigh much more?!!! I don't know and I am already anxious about it.

THERE IS ALWAYS A DIFFERENCE WHEN YOU USE A DIFFERENT SCALE. BUT YOU BE TRUE TO THE ONE YOU USE AND DONT WORRY ABOUT THE OTHER ONE. YOU WILL BE FINE
