Hey everyone,

I was wondering if you could have a look at these 3 photos I took of myself and guess what I weigh? I would really appreciate it. Thank you :) xx

5 foot 4 inches tall. 125 pounds. Your favorite color is pink. It used to be purple but then you and your bestie got in a huge fight and you both loooooved purple but now purple makes you bitter and angry, so pink it is. Your favorite band is Paramore but the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are ok too. You find the Beastie Boys totally overrated, but you are afraid to say anything because of how badly that ended last time. No, you will no go into details. Walks on the beach are ok, but you prefer a good game of chess. But you're still not sure how the Knight moves around, and you lose a lot of games that way. Good thing you only ever play against yourself.

But you'll have to excuse me if that answer isn't accurate. I forgot to calibrate my eyes this morning.

What do you mean? The only reason I ask is because I'm convinced that I look far heavier than I actually am...just some reassurance/people to tell me their opinion was all I wanted. I got the idea to do this from other people on the message boards so I'm not sure what the problem is? x

What a random group of strangers THINK you weigh means nothing.

How do YOU feel about the way you LOOK, NOT weigh? That's the only thing that should matter here. The scale is useless and so is the random opinions of people on what they think the scale would say.

RIght. But most people are really bad at guessing someone's weight. I find this to be true about age as well. You don't look overweight, if that's what you're wondering.

I think you look just fine...I also think you have some deep seeded issues. Just an observation.

I think you need to stop focusing on the number and start focusing on how you feel about yourself.

You still haven't given your height. Even if people wanted to play your game/ feed your ego/ whatever, there isn't really a way to do that with no frame of reference. You could be 3'9'' and weigh 55 lbs or 6'5'' and weigh 210 lbs.

I didn't look at what anyone else posted and I have no clue on your height. Side view my honest guess was 115. ( Looked at your side view pic first). Front view was 135. I guesstimated your height somewhere between 5'3 and 5'7. You look great no matter what the scale actually says. My 2 cents. : )

You look like you are about my height based on your leg length... maybe 5'3" or 5'4"? No more than 130 pounds... probably more around 126-128. Regardless, you are not fat.

The "reassurance" part. See my profile pic? Same weight in all 3. Looks can be deceiving.

ETA: In other words, there is really no way to guess your weight and it's rather pointless in the grand scheme of things.

Geez ...now that I have read what others posted......people are harsh .The OP asked a question and wanted an answer...she didn't get much response on her other thread. I don't blame her for wanting to know what others think. Obviously she wanted to know and wanted some truth to it that is what asking random strangers will get you .....is the truth. I can't get the truth outta anyone in my friends or family ( esp hubby) bc they all tell me how great I look or congrats on a loss of a 1 lb here a 1 lb there. Sometimes your friends and family albeit supportive don't give it to you like it really is. I happen to think that is what OP wanted ( and I don't know her from Adam) . The truth...and that doesn't mean she has body issues or anything else. Relax everyone else...my guess is she wanted to know whether to keep going on her journey or chill and maintain. OP you look awesome.....here is the truth that works for me....I think you are looking for more tone.....Side Planks....per some article I read are like the most amazing thing for women. I do them often and it has helped "tone" a 2x mommy gut. : )

It's not other people, it's me that thinks I'm heavier than I am! Don't get me wrong I don't feel terrible about myself, but I just don't feel as good as I should for my weight. Think especially because I'm going on holidays in 10 days so the panic is starting to kick in!

One of the forum rules is not to post the same thing multiple times so if OP didn't get responses from the previous thread, all she had to do was bump it. It's not hard to do.

If you don't feel good about yourself for your weight, then try to do something. Honestly, asking random people online what they think you weigh isn't going to help. It's just a number and as previously stated by someone else, most people can't accurately guess weight anyway.

I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just trying to let you know, it really doesn't matter what other people say, focus on you. If you feel good, that's enough. If you don't, like you said, then find something to do that will make you feel good.

Thank you!!! You've summed it up exactly...asking this does not mean I have 'deep seeded issues' or whatever anyone else thinks! And thank you for the toning tips...I'll definitely try some side planks x

Pretty sure only one person mentioned deep seeded issues. Everyone else stated the truth that asking people what they think you weigh isn't going to do any good. The number on the scale (or perceived number by others) isn't as important as you think

If you were looking for ideas on whether/how you should tone up, that would've been a much better thing to ask people. If there's a part of your body that you feel isn't toned enough, you could have just asked how to tone that area (noting of course, that you can't spot reduce fat).

Thank you for your suggestions and advice, I do appreciate it. At the same time I do realise that the number on the scale shouldn't be relied on, and I generally don't. I wasn't looking for toning tips, I do spinning 3x a week and kettlebells once a week so I feel like I've got that side covered if I stick at it.

I've actually found that by hearing other people's opinions on what I look like I weigh has helped, as most people have commented that I look around the same weight as I weigh, which I genuinely found quite surprising as I don't think how I look reflects my weight.

Believe me, I'm not going to lose sleep if someone said I look 2lbs heavier than I am. Nor was I doing this for attention for people to tell me how 'amazing' I look as some people clearly think I did. As lovely as those nice comments are...that's not why I did it.

Anyway, thank you everyone for taking the time to look at my pictures and comment x

Why on earth would you be panicked about that? I think you suffer from body dysmorphic disorder. There is nothing about the way that you look in these pictures that would make anyone look at you critically, unless maybe you are trying to win America's Next Top Model. Stop looking at yourself so harshly and look around at the rest of the world. (Which is populated by lots of forty-ish women like myself who wished they ever stopped to appreciate themselves when they were younger.)
