NSV: ran my first 10k

On a little more then a month of training I finished my first 10k with 3 of my friends at the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon! It was a great experience! My time was 1 hour and 29 mins. Not great but i did not stop or walk the whole time. and the darn race started off with a huge hill! Anyways I'm training now to do the Akron, OH half marathon on Sept 28th!

That is awesome! I am training for a 1/2 on September 15th. Add me if you like, I'm always looking for friends who are training for similar events as me. I've only been running for about a year and it's still pretty new to me. :) GREAT JOB, that's an awesome NSV.

That is amazing. Running is hard I know! Best of luck for the next race. Oh and by the way, 1h29minutes is great time considering that you started only a month ago!

See ya' at the starting line in Akron! It's a great Half to run. I work downtown, so I'm very familiar with the course. And, as of last year, they took out the killer hill in mile 12 coming up Cascade Locks. Now it's just a straight shot back over the Y bridge and to the Aeros stadium. You're gonna love it!!!

I'm very happy to hear they took out a hill! I'm looking forward to it!!
