YES! ANOTHER PLATEAU POST! ^_^

Okay here's the lay of the land.
I have been losing since August of last year. I have lost about 35 lbs. I am still trying to lose another 13.4 by August/September.
I have hit my plateau at 198.6... for like 1 month...

Daily Intake: 1300
Exercise: 4 times a week, 1 hr, 500-700 calls
Free Day: Saturday, 1900 cal limit

Do I up exercise? Do I up cals for a week then drop back down? Do I add more protein to my diet?

I don't know what to do... and it's making me sad.

Any suggestions, guidance, tools, spirit animals, etc, would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Are you eating back your exercise calories so you net the 1300? If not, that would be my suggestion. Burning 500 calories would leave your body with 800 to function on.

I almost net no calories a day, why am I plateauing?
  • Eat 50%-75% of your back calories for a couple weeks.

Yeah, I usually eat back about 1/2 my exercise calories. So I am eating like 1400-1600 cals on exercise days but the net is usually around 1100. I mean, am I supposed to eat back most of the cals I burned...?
  • It seems to me like you're not eating enough. When I was 140lbs I ate right around 1500 calories and I can't imagine you burn less than an itty bitty short person weighing 140lbs. I ate that on my non-work out days too.

Other times I've plateaued it's been because I adjusted to my work out. Are you adding weights/reps/whatever it is you can add to?

I'm betting it's one or both of those things.

You're supposed to be eating at or very near the section that says "Your Daily Goals". That will net you the calorie goal with deficit MFP has you set for.

I was stuck for a month, upped my calories by adding more fat and broke through the plateau.

I know it is scary and I was not convinced until I tried it out of desperation.
