Do I need to be worried??

So I am 5ft 3.5 in. And I weight 137 lbs. I have been trying to lose weight and I have been using this app on my phone called Lose It, where I am trying to lose 2 lbs a week to get down to 115 lbs. Well it has me at only consuming 1,001 calories per day. For the week I am under my caloric intake by 1,135, which is really more than that because I don't log my excerise. Lately I have been feeling light headed and occasionally when I stand up lose my vision for a brief moment, as well as being tired as in I can not stay up late anymore. Also I feel like I cannot get a full breath of air. As well as when I take a shower and am washing my hair I have a lot of detached hair, more than usual and I have baby fine hair, but a lot of it. Someone please tell me is my body in need of more calories? It doesn't take much for me to feel satisfied when I am eating, but I could eat more If I wanted to. Someone please help me, do I need to worry?

I don't eat unhealthy at all I eat chicken & fish grilled not fried and eat lots of fruits and veggies. I also take vitamins everyday and calcium pills as well. I don't drink pop I drink tea, water and zero calorie drinks. I also don't eat things that are super greasy.

You should change your goal to "lose 1 lb/week" and that will help things.

Eat more. I weigh less than you and I have hypothyroidism and I even eat more than you. Seriously, just eat.

Have you had your iron levels checked? Your doctor could perform a simple blood test to see if you are anemic.
When my ferritin level (iron stores) were low, I was so tired and would get winded easily. One of the first things I noticed was more hair loss too. Anemia can be easily corrected with the right amount of iron supplements. However, please don't take iron supplements without having your iron levels tested. Have too much iron in your blood can actually be dangerous.
Talk with your doctor and find out more about what's going on. Your calories might need to be bumped up a bit too-especially if you exercise at all or are active. Take care!

Change your goal to 1 lb per week, or even 1/2 lb per week. You are far tooooo close to goal to be aiming for 2 lbs per week. And your body is trying to tell you it's not happy with the current plan.

This thread will head south in a hurry. You need to do some research about how much you should be eating. What you are doing now is too little. But do your due diligence and find out for yourself.

    Fire in the hole!!!!
  • You should only have it set to 2lbs a week if you are morbidly obese.
