Go ahead, let it out. I feel like if I say it here I will stop the craving.

Mine is Five Guys bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, jalapeños, ketchup and, mayo and of course their Cajun fries. Ugh...I haven't been able to stop thinking about it for the past few days. Why can't I have it lets do the math here..... this amazingly delicious evil burger packs a whopping 1020 calories and 73 grams of fat. Oh yeah...I remember now. Ugh!!!! Not to mention the fries, 620 calories and 30 grams of fat. Lets add that up.... 1640 calories and 103 grams of fat. WOW!!! Thats more calories then I ate altogether today!!!

Craving gone.

Nvmd I guess I did take in more calories then that...but it's definitely more fat!!!
  • I hate giving up chocolate and fried foods. Those are my trigger foods so I HAVE to stay away. I know once I have a taste of either- Im done. Ive tried curbing my chocolate cravings with sugar free fudgeicles & yogurt- But it just makes me want the real thing! Good luck! Nice topic btw!

fresh and warm jalapeno and cream cheese stuffed bread roll from the local mexican panaceria....mouth watering as I type.
  • Do we really have to give up anything? Granted, all of the things mentioned here should not be consumed on a regular basis (except maybe the peanut butter), but given up? I think if you eat healthy 98 or 99% of the time, why not splurge on occasion? You could even find a buddy to go with and split the burger and skip the fries if you felt too guilty!

I lost 70 pounds over 13 years ago and have kept it off. I eat very healthy and seriously exercise, strength train and run; however, will definitely treat myself on occasion. The idea of being banned from anything just kills me. Afterall, I could never give up my pizza!

It is fun to think about all this food though! LOL

Ya know, when I go back to college to our all-you-can-eat buffet at every meal, I will be tempted with soooooo many foods that I love, but these foods are horrible for you! Munchie Monday (a buffet of fried food), PB&J to order (like grilled cheese), and of course fat bar (our dessert bar). I will try to control myself, but all-you-can-eat is so hard to avoid!

I haven't given up any food. I just don't go overboard on my portions. If you ate a quarter of the burger and had a 1/3 of the fries the calories aren't that bad. I do like tortilla chips and salsa so I just eat one serving maybe two if I can afford it and that's it. I don't think you should have to give up any food that you enjoy.

  • Ooohhh, I forgot to mention carne asada fries smothered in cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. Anywhere from 900 to 2000 calories!

Did I mention that I used to have that pretty regularly for lunch before I decided to get healthy.

There's no food I will give up 100% but enjoy the guilty pleasures as a treat once in a while. My biggest weakness is Mexican :)
