  • zombiesrun is brilliant, get the 5k version if you've never run before. or zombiesrun 2 if you have.. run keeper is also good if you want a simple exercise tracking app.

jefit is good if you want something for weight lifting rather than cardio. I'd second on the zombies, run! app. The voice acting is a little cheesy at times, but the story is good enough to make the run go by a lot faster.

I've found this to be to most accurate and informative of all the fitness trackers out there. I also love how it saves your route via gps, and that it will tell you how far you went, average speed, elevations/climbs, calories burned, etc.

runtastic is great. I love seeing my all time numbers for cals burned, time spent, distance, etc. Also anything you enter into it syncs to MFP if you link them :)

I get a lot of motivation from the phone part. I know that if I go run, I can be far enough away from the stupid thing that I can't hear it ringing.

Endomondo....syncs with MFP and runs by GPS. Shows calories, mileage, time, etc for running, walking, aerobics, so on and so forth.

Runkeeper is great for logging distance, average speed, cals burned and giving you updates every 2km/5 mins of your run.
I also had one called NTC which was Nike fitness app with exercises on you could log and follow through the app, I never really got into it but a few of my friends use it and say it's good.
