Weight Loss while Menstruating

Is it me or does it just seem impossible to lose weight during your period? I am at the end of the month and I have the last two pounds[ish] to go and the scale just won't seem to budge. What is even weirder this month is that I don't have the crazy cravings like I usually do, so what is going on?

Yea I always gain a few pounds during that week, I actually eat less on mine because of the bloatiness I get full faster. I still gain no matter what I eat or how much I exercise. Then when I'm done I start losing immediately.

I want to eat all the salt during that time. And red meat. Lots of it.

I have to drink a couple gallons of water and just watch my iron. and I gain always. And it makes me quietly seething at the maker of such evil.
  • It just depends. Sometimes I gain during that week, sometimes I lose. Luckily when it's over I drop the weight fast. Cravings on the other hand... give me all things salty, please.

It's water retention, it happens. It's not fat you are gaining, and it's normal, and it will go away. (I thought this was common knowledge too! lol!)

This is one of the reasons basing your success solely on the scale is not a good idea. :)

These posts always make me feel weird because I always have drastic weight loss during my period, then it comes back after. Anyway, it's just one week. If you only have two more pounds, it won't be long until you reach that!
