Best Cheap Muscle Building Supplements?

I have typically always bought Wal-Marts Whey Protein to drink after every workout because it has a convient price of like $18 or so. But I was wondering, has anyone found something that works significantly better for anywhere under $40 or $50 ?

Also, should I take Creatine before workout and then Protein post workout?

I want to burn fat and build more muscle mass. Any help is appreciated.

Which do you want to do, burn fat or build muscle? If you are a beginner it's possible to do both, to an extent. I use the EAS stuff, pretty cheap, but I supplement my diet with it, I think it's better to hit my 1g/lb bodyweight goal with foods like chicken, lean beef, and egg whites.

Yeah that's a good question, sorry I wasn't clear. I want to build muscle, which should in turn burn fat if I am correct. I do enough cardio that it should be burning the fat away anyways. So I am aiming at building more muscle right now.

Don't settle for cheap stuff. Cheap means poor quality ingredients and tons of fillers and other crappy stuff in it.
I agree with the poster who said "build muscle with food", but if you absolutely want to take supplements, go for quality for your health's sake.

There is nothing better than protein, 5g of creatine a day, I take fish oils 4 a day for the healthy fats, and creatine doesn't kick in for a few weeks after using it, hence why they say to do a loading phase at first so you can take it at anytime really. There's nothing better than protein....

GNC is a rip-off. Unless they have an incredible sale, I wouldn't shop there. Just use Amazon. Everyone usually like Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey, but really, whey is whey to me. Though ON has the best flavors and consistency when mixed.

For protein I use discount supplements, you can 4 x 75 servings for £80, £71 if you use a 12% vouchers, best value I've found, and I've tryed lot's of others Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey, Dymatize etc they're all expensive I honestly haven't noticed a difference between expensive and cheap protein besides they mix better and taste better.

Eh okay then. lol Amazon is the best comparison though I believe. But yeah, go for ON. Best company in my opinion.

I ended up ordering from bodybuilding.com instead because they had the same prices on what I wanted. Plus it's a cool website. lol

If you are talking cheap here is a great preworkout that is dirt cheap: caffeine pills - about 90 in a bottle thats like 4 bucks

Creatine monohydrate (not the crazy GNC blends) is also very cheap a tub that will last you well over a year is maybe 20 bucks

Creatine monohydrate, not the Walmart creatine loaded with tons of sugar. GNC will try to sell you an overpriced different type of creatine claiming that monohydrate just makes you bloat, they're ignorant and looking for a commission, don't believe anything they say. GNC sells creatine monhydrate for a decent price, but the salesmen don't want you to buy the cheap stuff.

I don't recommend anyone go into GNC unless they think pushy suit salesmen and buying their supplements for 50 percent more than can be found on Amazon is a good thing.

Creatine monohydrate is cheap, lasts for a long time, and works. NOW foods has good prices for it on Amazon.

yeah seriously hate GNC - they try and push **** down your throat and have no idea what they are talking about - commission based sales I guess

but yeah as others have said - just make sure you get creatine monohydrate not any of the crazy variants
