After 2 weeks of cutting out bread, pasta and cous cous in a bid to cut out some unpleasant side effects on my body, someone on mfp suggested looking on mikes daily apple. I did and 3 hours later i was still reading. I was wondering if anyone has just started and if you've bought any books, if so can you recommend any.

Hey loxleys
I've just had a quick look on Marks Daily Apple to check it's what I thought it was, and it is.
Essentially Mark is selling the Paleo diet. I've been doing Paleo for the last month and it really seems to agree with me. There are loads of free resources online, so I wouldn't go shelling out any cash just yet. I've eaten like a king and am now at my lowest weight for quite some time.
The best ones I've found are:
www.paleodietlifestyle.com
and
www.nomnompaleo.com
If you do a google search on Paleo, you'll get thousands of options.
Hope that helps.0 -
The base concept of paleo is horrid. There is little to no scientific evidence around their practice.

If you feel better not eating grains, that plan might work for you.
But there really isn't a whole lot of science to back up the theory that our caveman ancestors didn't eat grain.0
