New to this site -but going on week 6 @ gym

Hello everyone,

I'm Kate.

I decided to join to find new friends, and participate in the forums. I'm 5 ft 5 and about 180. I'm pear shaped and Jennifer Lopez has nothing on my booty (lol) I wear all my weight in my hips and thighs unfortunately.

I'm 23, back in high school I was 110 lbs and then I started working in the health field and got up to about 215. I didn't look it so I was astonished when I stepped on the scale. That was a year ago. I used to go to the gym at my apartment but they only have the basics. I did pick up bicycling as well. I got a gym membership and now bike there every morning during the week and usually stay for about 2 hours to take my time and use all the machines.

I switched my diet and food lifestyle months ago and I'm very content with how my bf and I eat. I cook all the meals so I know what we eat. I recently just went through our fridge and threw out everything that was remotely processed (I read a new study stating an ingredient they use to make the meat appear fresh is linked to cancer) but don't get me wrong....I love steak and chicken wings :)

I'm losing weight and gaining muscle but I really need to focus on my abs. This is the trickiest for me. I use whey protein and N.O.Xplode (for energy to do the stair master) I try to stay away from the diet pills and what not.

Thanks for reading and I hope to meet and make friends with many of you!
