How do any of you handle cravings before and during your period? All I want right now is chocolate and candies. I get cravings for specifics and they're just plain unhealthy. HELP!!! I already add a pound on during my period for water weight which never stays but I also want to prevent adding additional poundage that never leaves. Need a healthy way of managing it without making myself cranky!

Those hormones are just horrid aren't they?! I will make a glass of chocolate milk I use soy milk and nesquick. I buy my boys kids clif z bars. One flavor is chocolate brownie and that will satisfy me for just 130 calories. Some months I honestly can't control it call it a loss and thank God tomorrow is a new day/beginning.

Luna chocolate mint bars (170 cals). Menchie's no sugar nonfat yoghurt topped with a pile of fresh berries (180 cals). If it ever gets to be summer I eat whole fruit Popsicles. Meringues are a lot of sweet for not too many calories. I make my own popcorn with 1 T oil and 1/4 cup popcorn for 290 cals to satisfy salty crunchy cravings. And go for a walk before you eat them!

I either have 2 pieces of hershey dark chocolate kisses I keep in the fridge (20cals each), or I make a glass of chia chocolate milk and keep it in the fridge for an attack. 1 tbs chia seeds 1 cup milk of choice (i use blue diamond almond/coconut blend) and 2tbs of hershey lite chocolate syrup. I drink this in the morning too w fruit for breakfast.
Salt attacks either pickles or habanero almonds are amazing!
