I've been at this fitness thing for over 2 years now. I still haven’t hit my goal yet, actually I still have a long way to go – no bueno. However, I've had quite a bit of success and have come a long way since I started – very bueno!
When I was on a roll and dropping pounds every week, I always felt like it was pretty easy. To say it was easy to drop over 90 pounds sounds ridiculous, almost douche-y, but for me it was as easy as making the right choices and having the right mind set to do so. Here’s a few examples:
Choice: Go to the gym or sit home and watch TV or make some other excuse about not having time to workout.
Choice: Order a pizza and fries for dinner or take the time to cook some chicken & veggies or some other healthy option.
Choice: Eat a bag of chips or eat an apple.
See, it’s all about choices. I've been kinda stuck fighting the same number on the scale for quite a while now. The main reason for that is because I've gotten a little lazy, a little complacent, and to be honest, I’m just not always making the right choices.
I think I’m ready to get back on track, to be honest I haven’t been that far off, but I’m ready to finish what I started, reach my goals, and continue to live a healthier lifestyle. I’m ready to start making the right choices all the time and I’m already off to a go start. Tonight I was tired after a long weekend, I needed to get in a workout but I didn't really feel like it. I was faced with the choice of sitting around being lazy and watching TV OR plugging in the treadmill and getting in a much needed workout. Yep, you guessed it….I made the right choice! And I liked it.
Really, no matter what your goals are, it’s all about you making the right choice. See, it sounds pretty easy right??? So, doooooo it!

I totally agree. Have ice cream late at night for no reason or don't? That's a biggie for me!0

Muy bueno!
I agree, we can't get complacent. The pounds come back miraculously easy and fast when we get off track. This weekend was hard for me. Holidays are. I got taken by surprise by a buffet lunch for a Memorial Day program my daughter was in. That set the tone for horrible eating. Now I'm suffering. Headache, back pain, feeling crappy.
I need to get back on that horse.0 -
I was going to use today as a rest day, but you've pumped me up enough that I know I'm going to fit a workout into my schedule today! Thanks0

Yes, I agree…it is amazing how quickly the weight can come back and old habits try to creep their way back in. But like you said, just back on the horse and get back to action. Giddy up!0 -
