What motivates you?

I have been looking at my motivation lately, and am curious as to what motivates you? My motivation is to be back down to the size I used to be, be healthier, and feel amazing, but more then any of that Exercise itself is motivating to me lately. The more I do it the more I want to do it. I did doubles yesterday and can't wait to go home and get in another workout tonight. I may do a double tonight also. I find that my mood is improved and my energy level is raised when I exercise on a regular basis. So there is is What motivates you?

What motivates me is being 56 years old and walking in a room and knowing I am probably the fittest person in that room.

The family I want to have in my future.

I lost 26 pounds using this site last year then fell way off the wagon and gained it back. I'm back at 240 once again.

It's crazy to look back and realize how good I had done. I'm back and ready to start up once again. I think what helped was that when I was on here, I was not as focused on eating only salads and fruits, it was that I was eating in moderation and if I had one large meal in the day, I wouldn't go on and have another regular sized meal, I'd just have a small snack or what not.

My username is the names I want to name the daughters I hope to have =)

Well, What motivates me is the hope of having a healthy pregnancy and baby.
Been trying for one fro two years, but the doctors have been putting me off because I'm young. So, for the last two months the only thing I could figure out to do on my own to help my chances was to attempt to loose some weight. The only problem with this is every time I get hopeful I'm pregnant I let myself cheat on the diet... like last week... but I'm back and after it harder than ever this week.

For me I've done this for so long for a couple of reasons:

Be able to still play sports at a decent level in my age bracket

Because I don't ever feel LIMITED. I can climb rocks and monkey bars with my 9 year old and keep up. I can go on the hike up the side of the mountain with people who have done it awhile. I can still kick a bag over even at 49.

These are accomplishments that directly reflect on what I've done physically for myself over the years. And that's the great thing. No one can work out for you, no one can eat for you, no one can lose weight for you. It's ALL YOU.

IF not the fittest, at least I am one of the smallest and definitely no longer the biggest person in the room. Knowing that I've done this all by myself by my own wits, finding my own information and experts through all options available to me. Knowing that I could stop forking over the $$ of which I have spent thousands over a lifetime only to find out that a few good books and online research will lead me to a healthier and longer life with the best possible chances for the least possible future disease processes just by changing how I interact with food and carefully choose which foods I do eat. It is ALL within my power!

If you've been trying for two years and tracking your cycles no doc should be putting you off! If you're not tracking, I highly recommend you start doing so, so you have an idea what your body is doing. Read Taking Charge of your Fertility.

Keep up with your healthy eating and try to exercise and find a new doc.

    I can struggle with motivation.
I want to lead others, and therefore that helps me with my Own motivation. To find my abs vs always having them so hidden under fat. They've always been hidden, they MUST be in there.

Plus, heath. I want to be here as long as possible for my two little ones. My cholestoral numbers have improved over the last year, but could still be better. THAT is the number one motivation, but sometimes that is hard to get out of bed for at 5:30, especially when those same little ones interrupted my sleep.

My 3-year-old tell my husband regularly "Mommy is strong" and "Mommy is fast."

I love being able to swing her and her baby sister around, and chase them, etc.

The thought of a healthy family some day :)

I know a few girls have posted about it, also - it's really important to me to get my weight under control before I (eventually) get pregnant. I don't want to add complications where I don't need to, and I want to have the energy to play with a toddler without getting winded. I want to get my eating habits under control so that I don't end up raising a mini-me with 20 year weight and body image issues.

I was thinking about this and a lot of thought came to mind. My family, being healthier, feeling better, more energy.
But there is 1 things which I feel is my real motiviation.
My daughters - we are all working at loosing weight and they are so supportive of me and want me to look good and feel better about myself.

Oh and the more energy will help. I was recently granted custody of 3 of my grandchildren who are 4, 2 and 8 months. I need to be able to keep up with them.
