That's great! When I first started my diet we had somebody order pizza here too. I was a week into my diet and had not cheated once, but it smelled so good. I picked up a piece and was about to bite into it, but then I remembered all the progress I had made and put it done. It felt great!0

If it is a social situation, I go ahead and cheat almost every time. I may try to make it up with some exercise or a lighter meal for dinner, but if I don't completely make it up, I don't stress it. What I have really cut out is going out on my own and binging on junk food. This is a lifestyle change I can live with. I started dieting in March and have lost 20 pounds. So my outlook is a little different. Don't deprive yourself the joys of life. The diet has to be something you can live with forever if you want to keep weight off. Sure you held out on the pizza this time, but there is no way you can hold out forever0

A confession.... I cheated alot this month. Not like sat down on the couch with a pint of haagen daas and pigged out... but here and there I had a soda... or some potato chips... fast food. Things I normally cut out completely. My lesson.... if you completely cut out things that you enjoy... you will have bad MONTHS instead of bad days. I made up for it every time with a really hard core work out... still haven't had my monthly weigh in yet so we'll see what happens...
But I think its okay to cheat a little bit... have a piece of pizza... don't eat a whole pizza. It's okay to do it as long as its not everyday.

That is great-Pizza smell is a hard temptation to fight off. I had been doing really well dieting, keeping my own food journal, and working out. I lost 45 lbs! Then I went on vacation and when I came back I stayed in vacation mode and now I've gained 10 of them back. Its been hard to get started back up again. I'd do really good and then some tempation would come along (sweets are often brought to my work) and I'd give in every single time. I'm starting again now and I'm hoping using online resources will help. I think its true that you can't deprive yourself of something you want every single time, but you shouldn't give in every single time. My new philosophy is going to be cheating only on special occasions, like the 4th. I'm having what I want on 4th because its a celebration. Knowing that helped me not eat one of the huge bakery muffins someone brought in this morning. The way I look at it, if you cheat for no reason other than you want to, you're just eating more. Good job on no pizza, now on your next girls night out you can afford a margarita0

Amesome job! Anyone have any great low cal pizzas - especially if ready made frozen. Two kids limit my home made cooking.0

awesome job! that has to be one of the best feelings in the world. so difficult but the feeling afterwards is so satisfying. especially when you can't smell it anymore about the low-cal pizza ideas, one of my mom and my favorite meals is a light layer of pizza sauce and low-fat mozzarella on whole-grain english muffins and stick in the toaster for a few minutes, then add any 0-cal spices you want to amp up the flavor! they're a great treat you won't have to feel guilty for.0

PROUD OF YOU! And a couple of tricks that I use for cases like this are.
1) Gross yourself out regarding the food that you are trying to stay away from...
Yesterday it was someones Birthday and one of thos calorie ladden Store bought cakes of sin was in the break room, Staying away from it was easier when I convinced myself that it was on the floor of the bakery before it got to our office.
I do not touch doughnuts after seeing a thing on Goodmorning America with Richard Simons as the speacker. He brought a vat of 5 lounds of Human fat, and then said that this is what is inside you after eating a doughnut. To this day I can not look at a doughnut without gagging.
2) Failing that... And sometimes the Birthday cake looks too good. Then I get a small enough piece that I can taste it. one that is no bigger then an oz or two. This will give me the taste of the treat and I do not feel deprived about it. OR on the same hand, I find out about how many cals I am consuming, and try to burn that off with a little extra excersize that night.
Hope that this helps if and when this happens again. .
