My name is Brittany, I am 22 and a mother of 3 little ones! 6,3, and 1. I am a stay at home mom and married of 4 years. I have always been overweight and recently reached my highest weight of 324. I am trying to find what works for me on this journey of losing weight. I attempted a low carb diet the beginning of the year and dropped 15 lbs pretty fast, but I didn't feel good. I didn't like the things I was eating, and felt awful everyday. So I went back to eating how and what I wanted from Feb-mid may, and maintained the weight of 311. Now I am back on track, and hoping to stay motivated this time as I have a huge amt of weight to lose. Its so easy to get off track, and I don't want that to happen again. What kinds of diets are you doing? How much weight have you lost doing that and in what amt of time? I have been eating meat, fruit, veggies and staying around 1100 calories a day, and drinking only water. Since this past Friday when I started (again) I am down 5 lbs and at 306 now. Any advice is greatly appreciated! AND FRIENDS TOO!!! send on the Friend requests!

I don't really do "diets," I just eat healthy. I've learned healthy principles from a nutrition course I took in college, and the south beach diet which was recommended to me by my doctor. I'm now trying some suggestions from a post I found on here from another mfp user, because I agreed with a lot of what he said. (here's the link, I recommend it: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12)

I don't know your history, I don't know if you've gradually gotten down to eating 1100 cals/day, but I would venture to say that that's too few for you to start with-- perhaps you should talk to your doctor or a nutritionist, I think that would be extremely beneficial and perhaps key to your weight loss success.

I wish you well, you may friend me if you want-- I log daily.
