I'm a newbie :)

Hi.My name is Vikki.I am 24 and a mom of two boys ages 2 & 4.I have been battling with weight my entire life and I have lost around 14 pounds since November but most of that is due to medication I am on for depression/anxiety.I have no idea where to begin since I do not have many friends and no real support system.I lost my job a few months ago and I have had to work hard to not snack simply because I am bored.Any ideas as to what I need to do besides get off my butt which I have started walking daily now.I do not eat too unhealthy buti was raised on fast food and everything deep fried. Thanks in advance. :)

  • Hi Vicki,
My name is Reyna, and I too have struggled with weight my whole life. I was doing good but since I was in Nursing SChool and the stress was overwhelming, I turned to food thus gaining weight. I have been trying to eat healthy snacks like apple with peanut butter, cucumber with vinegar and pepper, roasted almonds or hummus and veggies. I was really into ZUMBA, so I think I will start doing my ZUMBA videos again. Biking is also fun if you have a bike. I am here if you need encouragement, as I am also looking for support.

Your already on the right track, just keep moving forward.

    Reyna

My name is indira meaning that you are going thru all that you can become an emotional eater which means will make you eat unhealthy. Try to enjoy fruit smoothies and different variety so you can have energy as well a good source of vitamins and still have time to loose weight and be active. H:smile: ope this helps.
  • Thanks.I have the Zumba for the Wii so maybe I will try that again.I have bad knees from too many years of cheerleading so I tend to slack when they bother me.I just want to look on the outside like I feel(most of the time) on the inside.I don't want to be ashamed of how I look wen my husband takes me out or when I see pictures of myself.I think tomorrow is definitely going to be the type of day I need to start this back up.

Using the Wii can be great exercise. Stand up and do the full moves not just flicking the wrist. I have worked up quite a sweat boxing or playing tennis with my young nieces and nephews. Also Wii fit has been good for me. I've tried Wii Biggest Loser and it was just ok but Wii fit was more fun. Feel free to add me as a friend if you want.
