Zumba- Best sneakers to wear while doing?

Options
Does anyone have recommendations for the best type of sneaker to wear while doing Zumba? I do Zumba Core for the kinect 5 times a week and since i do it at home was doing it barefoot until my feet starting getting sore so i started wearing my sauconys which helped a little but my feet are still sore. I have high arches which makes finding supportive sneakers challenging. I just dont like have stiff and sore my foot muscles have been. They arent killing me just really tight and sore in the arch when i first wake up. Im not sure if this is from working out my foot muscles from zumba or my sneaks?

I would go to a store where they specialize in workout or dance shoes and have them measure your feet and look at your arches. The best shoe for me won't necessarily be the same for you. Just know that the shoe should be fairly light and not very grip-y -- essentially the opposite of traditional running shoes.

Good shoes can be pricey, but I would recommend finding a way to accommodate the price and not skimp on the quality of your shoe. Having the right shoe will prevent injury.

Aside from having the proper shoes, your feet will likely be a little bit sore as you work the muscles in your feet doing Zumba at the beginning, or as you up the intensity of your workouts. Stretching your feet can help. You can look up stretches for your particular foot pain online. If it is painful to the point of distraction, you should consider seeing a doctor or physical therapist to make sure you don't have an injury, or to prevent an injury from happening.

Exercise shoes with good arches and pivot points are good for Zumba. I found dance shoes to not have enough arch support for me but you might be different. My all time favorite is Rkya Studio D

Nike has two types that work well if your foot is not wide (mine is so I use Ryka), one is called Musique and I forgot the other but if you go to lady's foot locker they will show them.
