I have issues with sodium content as well. I've been using something called "no salt", it comes in a white shaker and is sold by the seasonings. Mrs. Dash products are all sodium free too.

You don't need to use the salt shaker at all. You will get used to eating foods without salt but it takes a little while. I haven't used additional salt in my foods for over 20 yrs. Dr. told me when I was diagnosed with HBP to lose the sale shaker. I did, and although I still have to take meds. my BP is always normal. You can't avoid sodium at all, it is in almost every food we eat and the restaurants are the worst, especially fast food. I was shocked at how much sodium there was in a Subway veggie sandwich. The bread was the culprit. So if you think you are eating without sodium, think again. It is hidden in there. Just say'n. Good Luck to you in controlling your sodium. 1500 mg a day is what the American Heart Assoc. recommends and so does my Dr. Take a lot of self control.:flowerforyou:

    Chunky Chicken Stew
    Makes 2 Servings

    1 teaspoon Olive Oil
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 cup thinly sliced carrots
1 cup fat-free reduced sodium chicken broth
1 can (about 14oz) no-salt added diced tomatoes
    1 cup diced chicken breast
3 cups sliced kale or baby spinach

    1. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir 5 minutes or until golden brown. Stir in carrots and broth; bring to a boil. Reduced heat; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.
    2. Stir in tomatoes; simmer 5 minutes or until carrots are tender. Add chicken; cook and stir until heated through. Add kale; stir until wilted.
