Hello, I am extremely overweight and have been doing a clean eating program along with MFP for two weeks now. I started the Jillian Micahels 90 day Body Revolution today. I decided to do it since it is in phases and figured I would gradually get stronger as time goes by.
Has any tried this and had success? Please share any insights, tips, etc.
Thanks for the support!

Hi there! I am officially a JMBR graduate as of 5/26/13!
Here are my stats:
MEASUREMENT.....................DAY0........DAY 30..........DAY 60.......DAY 90
WEIGHT.....................................193.0.........183.6..........174.4..........162.4
CHEST........................................42.00........40.50..........41.00..........39.00
NECK..........................................14.00........14.00..........13.00...........13.25
WAIST.........................................35.00.........35.00..........32.00...........32.00
ACROSS BELLYBUTTON.......41.00........41.50...........37.00..........35.00
RIGHT THIGH............................27.00........25.00..........24.00...........22.00
LEFT THIGH...............................26.50........25.00..........24.00...........22.50
RIGHT BICEP............................12.50........12.00...........11.50..........11.00
LEFT BICEP...............................12.00........12.00...........11.25..........11.00
HIPS............................................44.00........42.50...........41.00...........39.00
Overall, I lost 30.6 pounds and 29.25 inches.
The program takes a jump from Phase 1 to Phase 2 and then again from 2 to 3. The cardio workouts are manageable, but going from Cardio 2 to Cardio 3 was a HUGE jump for me. But then again, I really, really dislike cardio workouts in general. Take it one day at a time and you will be fine! If things are too hard, then modify. Sometimes I modified the position of exercises and other times I modified the pace that I did a particular exercise.
I may do JMBR again in the future, but I decided to change it up for now. I started P90X on Memorial Day. Hopefully it can lean me out even more and help me to reach my goal weight (I still have 21.2 pounds to go). Oh and I am 5' 5"....not sure if that matters to you in any way.....
Good luck to you!!!0 -
Wow impressive stats Jordan, started this on Monday and gone straight into Phase 1, loving it and if I can come out with your stats I will be totally happy. Are you following her meal plan? I'm not as I'm from the school of not eating only 1200 cals.0

i am on the last phase and i LOVE it! recently mixed it up and went back to my favorite workout from phase 2, and could not believe how much easier it was after like 2 weeks. i've lost 10 lbs so far, hoping for a couple more in the last couple weeks! i've lost at least 1 dress/pant size and have gone from an XL shirt to M. waiting to take final measurements until i'm actually done!
basically i would recommend this program to literally anyone. i was NOT in shape at all before i started and am seriously amazed that i can do a full push up, let alone the crazy types of push ups she has you do in phase 3 lol.0 -
bump for later0

Great job and good advice to do what's right for you...don't try to be someone else. Their knees/joints aren't yours, you will improve but they are professionals or wouldn't be on there.
I think that's why my one Biggest Loser DVD was a nice change...the real people had me work just as hard but they weren't perfect.
I might invest in this system in the summer, sounds like it has new exercises she hasn't done in others.0 -

That is amazing! Did you follow the nutrition plan to a tee as well?0 -
I'm a working mom of 2 so the 30 minute workouts really got me to buy it.
I'm on weeks three and four right now. I did 1 and 2 for about a month and I can see a difference in my body. I'm not going to remeasure until after I've moved to five and six. The only thing that I really struggle with is doing it everyday. I really, really want to because even not doing it everyday it really worked. So that is what I'm currently working on.
I don't do the diet because I'm on a tight budget both time and money and I eat what my family eats, which is usually pretty healthy.
I would love to hear what other people have been expirencing and whether or not they did the diet with it also. If not, what type of eating did they do to have the sucess??0 -
Awesome results .... Great job... I finish tomorrow. I'm 5'3" ... Over all my results have not been nearly as good. I've list 5.5#, plus 9 inches from my torso. No extremely satisfied but I'm ok with the results not sure what my next move is. My original plan was to repeat the program but frankly I haven't seen any changes in size or weight since week 6. I am however much stronger and I'm showing a lot of definition in my arms. So... Good luck0
