Hi Fitness Pals,
This is probably my 3rd or 4th go here on my fitness pal. Weight loss is always a struggle, but I find it even harder given the intense anger and disappointment I feel towards myself. I lost a great deal of weight (with the help of my fitness pal, might I add) and was about 10 pounds away from my ultimate goal weight. But then I went abroad to a place with very few gyms, a very carb-heavy diet, and where I felt lonely and bored so I turned to eating. I ended up gaining 18 pounds back and so now am 28 pounds away from my goal weight, severely depressed, angry, discouraged, and defeated. I don't know why this is always such a struggle for me and when i will stop completely shooting myself in the foot. All I know is that I have never felt so bad about myself, so horrible in my own skin, and so desperate.
I guess I'm looking for encouragement and someone to tell me that I can do this again and that this isn't the end of the world. It certainly feels like it.

You can do this, everyone has bad times, or days when they fall off the wagon. The main thing is you get back on track. You know what to do, because you have lost weight already. I know how hard it is to keep at it. I have been battling the same 50 pounds for years, and have finally buckled down and been losing steadily for the last three months. I still struggle some days with not shoving everything in my mouth, or skipping my workouts, but then I remember the great feeling of a workout well done, or buying smaller size clothes. You can add me if you would like, I always try to look at the glass more than half full. Keep up the good work, and don't be discouraged.0

Hi! Don't look at it as you went backwards, just look at it as a stepping stone on your path to your goal weight! I get frustrated and angry at myself too, but we have to be nicer to ourselves!0
