I am a 44 yr old that is at it again. I successfully lost 105lbs and kept it off for 3 years until the death of my brother last year. I have gained 50lbs back and I am ready to get back to being healthy again.

I am already eating real foods, low sugar and limited caffeine..I just need motivation to get up off of the couch to move around..

I am going to get my God on and get it together this time and get it all back. I love how skinny tastes..

    Good luck !

I have always 'comfort ate' & losing a loved one is a hard thing - I don't think anyone can actually appreiciate just how hard it is unless they have experienced it themselves.

I lost my mum 7 years ago & it still seems like yesterday. I have loads of happy memories of her that I focus on & I like to think that she is still around & can see how happy I am with my husband & our 2 little boys (4 & 3) even though she never met any of them.

I know that I will make her proud of my weight loss achievement by the end of this year, by which time I hope to have got down to my goal weight.

Happy to have you as a friend to provide a little of that motivation if you like !

    Welcome!!
Im here if u 2 help if u like, friend request me
  • I've been on many programs and lost weight over the years and have always gained it back. This is the first program I have found that is awesome and FREE!!! Jillian Michaels says that for your lifetime, you must count calories and exercise daily for at least 30 mins every day. I've stuck to that for almost 50 days now and have lost 24 lbs. It's all about that. If I want something that may not be that good for me, I plan for it so that I can make room in my calories for it that day. I have ONE serving of it and that's it! You can't have the whole pie!! I'm sorry for the loss of your brother but he wouldn't want you grieving over him. He would want you remembering his good times with you and making the best out of this ONE life you have here. Know that he's watching over you and make him your motivation to get up off the couch and exercise. My aunt started Tae Bo exercise with me about three weeks ago and she could only do like 12 mins when she first started and is now up to 21 mins and has lost 4 inches in her waist. That's awesome and you can do it too. I've lost 14 inches throughout my body over 50 days. God will bless you on your weight loss journey!!

P.S. Take 15 mins out of your day to spend encouraging and supporting 3 different people every day on this website. You'll be blessed even 10 fold!!
  • Wow, thanks everyone for your support...I am on my way...and you are right about my brother, he would not want me to be sitting around being unhappy about myself..

    Hey Everyone,

I have been on this site for about 2 weeks now and have found it to be very helpful. I had no clue as to how easy it is to wolf down to many calories per day until i started tracking them. Now I am more aware of what i eat and how my exercising will help me to stay healthy for the long run.
