I NEED SWEET (without the sugar...)

I have a large sweet tooth, mainly for fruit or ice cream, but I struggle with staying under my goal for the day AND subdue my cravings... any ideas??

    - Low cal hot chocoloate
    - fruit ... grapes are great
    -fruit juice
    -chewing gum
-boiled sweet (enough of a sugar hit for the craving .. but only eat 1!!)

I like to lightly pan "fry" a banana in a little water. The "frying" makes it super sweet and gooey. A medium banana is 105 calories

Or, make a pancake of 1/4 cup self rising flour, 1 small or 1/2 large egg white, water to consistency and some white sugar to make the batter sweet. Fry in margarine.

    1/4 c self rising flour 100 calories
    1 tbs sugar 60
    1 tbsp margarine 50
    1 egg white 15

    Total 225 calories.

Throw the fried banana over it and it's a semi healthy sweet pig out that can be a whole meal.

    Total 330 calories.

8 ounces nonfat plain Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of honey

Belvita breakfast biscuits (the cinnamon brown sugar are the sweetest)

If you can handle portion control, Hershey's dark chocolate minis

2 packs Sugar Free Jello (Flavor of choice)
1 Can of Juice or Water Packed fruit cocktail
    Lite Whipped topping

I make the jello, add the fruit when the jello just starts to set. I eat a cup at a time with the 2-4 tablespoons of the topping. Its less than 125 calories per serving.

Just eat the fruit and don't worry about going over your sugar goal that MFP has allotted.
It's not a make or break thing.

something similar to icecream but healthier!
    3/4 cup almond milk
    frozen banana (cut up)
    1T of cocoa powder
    1t vanilla
    a couple ice cubes

puree or blend in blender or food processor. Its like a chocolate milk shake or you can freeze it in
popsicle molds for fudgesicles. So yummy!

I love Dole banana dippers. They're in the freezer section and are frozen banana slices covered in dark chocolate. They're 100 calories a pack. Because they're frozen they take a bit to eat.

    Protein Mug cakes!! Sooooo good!!!
  • hot chocolate made with stevia powder instead of sugar. Nice and warm and chocolatey. Yum!

For something more ice-creamy.: One ingredient ice-cream. Freeze banana, blend banana: Banana icecream. Still has sugar, but at least you get the ice cream craving and the fruite craving done in one go. :)

I LOVE frozen fruit. You can get a mix which is pineapple, strawberries, peaches and mango. It takes me longer to eat because it's still partially frozen, sort of like ice cream because it's cold and sweet because it's fruit. I also love just frozen mango and frozen blueberries. 2 cups (which is a huge serving) is usually under 200 calories, and full of good fruit nutrition :)
