I'm currently reading the 7 day carb cycle solution by Chris Powell. I was wondering if anyone on here follows this or has in the past and what ya thought and/or experienced....

Thanks for your comment but I don't think that really answered my question at all. lol So far I dont' think this falls under a "fad" diet....but I'm so busy I haven't had much time to read so I'm still reading the book. But thanks. I'd still like to know results or opinions from people that have actually read and/or followed the books teachings though.0

I just started it but so far I really like it! It gives me guidelines I can follow. I like the idea of mixing up my diet. I just came off of a 24 day advocare challenge and only lost 2 pounds, 4 1/2 inches. On this diet after a few days I have already lost 2 more pounds. I don't have that much to lose so the pounds are hard to get off. I already eat pretty healthy and work out 7-10 times a week. I am hoping mixing up my eating pattern and his early morning shapers will make a difference. So far so good. But remember what he said you can't have the attitude you will try it , you must have the attitude you will do it. He has huge success stories! Good luck!0

I like it. I think it's an easy to follow guidelines. It's "carb cycling"...I haven't done it in a while, but I don't really see anythign "wrong" with it, and can be adapted to your lifestyle. I now do my low carb days after the weekend. lol!0

Carb cycling is nothing new and it works but you don't need to go 7 days. That would suck. One day high carbs and one day low is all you really need to ensure you don't eat too many carbs. People will generally eat too many carbs especially when they binge since it's in all of our favorite foods like cake, donuts, chips, and icecream. Spending one day to use up all the carbs that have been stored in your muscles will help ensure that you didn't overdue it. It actually takes 3 days to use up all the carbs stored in your muscles and liver but you don't really need to take it that far. I find that protein can be rather expensive compared to carbs which is one of the reasons why I see eating mostly protein for one day works. Your overall goal should still be eating at a deficit.0
