HAH! Brilliant! I'm bookmarking that for next time some health nazi gets all up in my business!
Caffeine is far worse for you and that's a matter of making sure to drink enough water
Feed a bathtub full of salt to a rat gives it cancer, it's not the salt it's the amount. A lot of people forget that moderation is the key to living healthy, not cutting everything out of your life.0 -
I'm afraid that I'm one of the 'nuts' that won't let my children have anything with aspartame in nor do I buy any products with it in. OK everything in moderation and all that I do agree with and I am sure that there are lots of things I do consume that you could say carry similar risks, but I don't believe enough testing has been done. It's one thing I can avoid though and make sure my kids avoid too.0

I think its great everyone has their opinion on this subject, but what seems to be very much forgotten is that probably 99% of items you buy from a supermarket, restaurant or take out will have been tampered with in one way or another in the production process. Be it the chemicals that are sprayed onto fruit n veg that contain cancerogenics etc etc and whatever is injected in meat, right down to processed food, snacks and drinks.
So at the end of the day unless you grow your own and rear your own you'll never know exactly what is in or on your food.
Me - I just carry on enjoying what I eat whether its home grown or brought incl diet coke (not just the only thing that has Aspartame), just a couple of others are Wrigleys Orbit chewing gum Muller Light, Tango, Oasis fruit drink light, Ribena light and Robinsons' Orange squash (before you start shaking your head at me - no I don't have all of these in a day or even in a week)
