My own Clean Eating Challenge

Hi everyone!

I'm going to be doing a 30 day clean eating challenge, starting tomorrow. My basic philosophy will be:

No processed foods. I will read all ingredient labels and make things with more spices and less sauces. Condiments are my weakness so I'm going to be very diligent!

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for this challenge? I know I need to be super prepared so I don't succumb to cravings but any other tips would be greatly appreciated! Also, if you'd like to join me on my June Journey, you can add me (whichacre) and we can support eachother!

I can recommend a website with some awesome stuff. Everything I have made tastes great, and most everything is very clean

Since you asked for suggestions, mine would be to take up cooking as part of your 30 day challenge. As in, carve out some time to do this like you would for a workout routine. Skinnytaste as @riotgrrrl39 mentioned, or anything under a Google search for "clean eating recipes" should get you started. You'll need the time if you're experimenting with new recipes, cooking something new, or using new techniques. If you do that for 30 days, you'll start to get the hang of it, and learn how to make clean food on a tighter schedule.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll have fun!

As part of clean eating you will probably need to cook and prep food more than you had in the past. Over the weekends, I prepare my grocery list knowing 3 or 4 meals I will make for the week. I have 2 kids with different activities so planning is so important so we don't eat out or grab things that are not as healthy for us. On Sunday afternoon, I make what I can for the week. I may bake a whole chicken and make salads and wraps out of that chicken for lunch all week long. I may grill chicken on the grill, bake sweet potatoes for the week, cut up fruits/veggies, etc. Having a weekly plan will only help you along.
