Water intake

I apologize now if this question seems silly but I get so many different answers. So we're supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day. Does adding Crystal light count towards this or even tea? I'm not a big water drinker, unless I have been working out. But I drink Iced Tea like crazy. I brew it, decaf, unsweetened and just add my sweet and low to it. So does this count towards water intake or do I have to drink just good ol plain water?

plain old water is best. but get your liquids as you can. I like a small squeeze of lemon juice in mine and drink it at room temperature. what is your favourite fruit? Slice it up and put it in a jug of water. leave for a little while and then enjoy the natural flavor in that dreaded water - strawberries, apples, oranges, any fruit will work. try it and see what you think. sometimes taking the blandness out of it makes it more desirable. if you're stuck forever on decaf iced tea, try stevia instead of sweet and low. and check out this article which will make you feel much better... http://theteamaestro.blogspot.com/2012/03/does-drinking-tea-produce-diuretic.html0

I count all liquids toward water. They're mostly water to begin with.0 -
I was involved with two medically supervised diets and both programs stated that any decaffinated sugar free drinks count towards water intake. I drink Crystal light all the time with the odd Nestlea Zero added in as I don't like drinking just plain or fruit infused water. ~0

I rarely drink plain water. Usually I make tea or water with crystal light. I'm never dehydrated (clear pee).0
