So, I am new to MFP, have no idea where to start! I can't even begin to count calories until I start eating more. My issue is I don't eat enough. I do not eat processed food or such, what I do eat is healthy, but sporadic. I am genuinely OK with my weight but could lose twenty pounds. i know I need to start slowly incorporating more food into my diet. I just don't know how to proportion it all. I bought a whole lot of fresh fruits and veggies and lean meats today to begin. I was thinking since my tummy can't handle food in the morning without causing severe pain maybe I can do a super smoothie for breakfast. I really am motivated to change my diet and my life.. Any suggestions would be grateful!

I'd reccomend starting slowly. Can you do several small meals/snacks daily?
    Examples:
    mixed nuts and an apple
    fruit smoothie with protein powder
banana with 1 tbs no sugar p.butter
    salad with tunafish
    eggs w.veggies

Keep at it, youll get there :) Good luck!

I'm like that too for the most part. I'll go all day and then realize about 2 or 3 that I haven't eating. Then I eat the wrong things. What's working for me now is to really be on a schedule. I have a food plan and make sure that I eat at specific times and also journal everything I eat.
  • That's exactly it, I have no interest in food at all! I can go two days then realize my tummy is growling. I have three kids and am always making them food, but have no want to eat. Then I'll binge eat. Good food but nonetheless I know that isn't good for me. Thanks for the examples, that's a good start!
How did you make a meal plan? That is what I'm sitting here trying to do.. I think a schedule would be great for me. I do take different things everyday, like elderbery concentrate, coconut oil, acv, only drink water and coffee, ( I love my cold coffee)...
