disgusted with my body

so I'm having a tough time getting motivated to exercise. IDK why, I just can't seem to do it anymore. For one thing I have lost alot of weight and now don't like the way my body looks and feels anymore. I'm almost feeling like I was better off when I had my weight and didn't have all this loose, saggy skin. Ugh! :(
Any suggestions??????

The skin will tighten up over time. Change your attitude and the exercise and diet will get easier. Your choice to be happy/sad and to like/not like yourself. Focus on the positive when you look in the mirror-no flaws ever- and smile.

I know what you mean, because I like the look of plump bodies! But I'm motivated because exercise is so important for health. I'm glad that I'm able to do more than I could a couple of years ago, I don't get so breathless, etc. But regardless of size, exercise seems to be the one big thing you can do to improve your health (if you go from no exercise to some exercise). They say that sitting is the new smoking!

I read somewhere that it takes a couple of years for your skin to sort itself out after losing weight, but that it improves over time.

Change up your exercise routine to make it new and interesting.

As far as the loose skin goes you can start resistance training, drink plenty of water, and lose the rest of the weight slower. This will help minimize loose skin but up to a certain extent there's very little you can do about it apart from surgery.

Judging by your ticker your only looking to lose 72 lbs (Congrats on the 35lbs lost!) so the loose skin isn't likely to be too bad.

It's not an issue of looking bad, because you look great. It's the internal dialogue going on between your ears. Your body says "I am better now physically" but your eyes and mind say "I'm STILL that fat girl I used to be."

You need to lose the mental weight that is dragging you down. Buy some new clothes, smile more at others, exude more confidence, and keep telling yourself "I''m better now all over, not just through my clothing sizes".

For many of us, myself included, it wasn't about the weight, it was about the INTERNAL dialogue I kept having. It took me a long, long, time to realize I am NOT that "plain Jane" (with no offense to anyone named Jane) person who is just "blah" to the world.

After I lost weight - people told me that I needed to "lift weights" or something as it looked like I lost muscle tone. It was sagging skin on arms and thighs. I have been doing cardio and weights more than before so... they don't know what they are talking about. It took 6 months for the arm skin to tighten up but the thighs still don't look too good in shorts or a skirt. However, I feel great. Keep it up and remember: You can do it!!!

I just went through this. Stop looking at yourself naked. Find old pics of your in clothes, and take new ones in the same clothes. Also... IT WILL GET BETTER!! My stomach is still all kinds of crazy, but my Ta-Ta's have firmed up nicely in the last week or so.... hubby cant keep his hands off....
