how to count....

How do I count something I have no idea what is in it or how many calories? My boyfriend gave me a lemon loaf and I had a small piece - did not weigh it (still need to get a small scale). I checked the food index and a slice of lemon loaf ranges from 490 calories to 130 calories. Suggestions?

err on the side of caution, if it tasted like real butter was in it! Although, if it had no frosting, it might be less than the max.0

I have a hard time with that kind of stuff too. I usually tend to log it on the higher side with the calories b/c I'd rather eat too little than too much! Or I'll take something in between the highest and lowest that I find and do that. Or I do Quick Add Calories and then under the food notes I put what I ate and how much. Good luck!0
