From my pictures I would like you guys to range how much weight i should lose in order to get a flat stomach. My ultimate goal is to become ripped with a 6 pack, but for right now being flat will do. My problem areas are chest and stomach. And how should i go about losing the weight. I'm currently a member of golds gym and am taking whey protein as a supplement to my diet. Are there certain things i should do at the gym? And how long should it take to see results? I was hopefully aiming for 2-3 months.

Hard to tell how much weight you need to lose...just keep losing until your happy. As far as the gym, heavy compound lifts..squats, deadlifts, bench press, overhead press..etc...go with a program for beginners...Starting Strengh, 5x5. Add in a little cardio, brisk walking, mix it up with some interval training....Diet is the key..cant out train a bad diet..calculate your TDEE and minus %20 to get your cals for the day...measure and weigh everything you eat...only drink water...eat protien with every meal...'eat less move more'
You should check out the forums on bodybuilding.com....they have all the info you need....read up on the "stickys" in the "losing fat" and "nutrition" forums...they have tons of info...good luck0 -
It's hard to say how much you need to lose, but ya you should do some weight training. But the most important thing of all is cardio, cardio, and more CARDIO! Try running, whether on a treadmill or outside. Running really melts fat quickly and replaces it with muscle. If you want to work on upper body at the same time, try running with weights and make sure you move your arms, elbows locked. Build up slowly, going farther, longer, and faster as you improve. And make sure that you eat right. You should not just cut calories, but make sure that the calories you are putting into yourself all are beneficial. It's ok to cheat every now and then, we all do it. And an edible reward is nice if you work out a lot in a day/week. But try to have the majority of your calories good, nutritious food. Lots of veggies. And fruits are the best possible snacks you can eat. If you eat an apple as a snack right after working out, that will help with muscle development.0
