Protein...seems too low??

Hello-
Does anyone else feel like the protein guidelines are too low?
I am coming close to maxing my protein each day before I even hit dinner..
My morning greek yogart has 15 grams...
The amount seems low to me for a 1200 calorie diet for a woman in comparison to other "diet plans" I have followed..

Does anyone know what the formula typically is to determine protein amounts..

I am always way under on my carbs and fats but over in my protein and sugar..
Thanks!

The MFP protein guidelines are VERY low - 15% of daily calories. You can up it. Or just think of it as a minimum, not a maximum.

go to goals > change goals > custom, and increase the protein %. If you don't want to change it see the protein as a minimum for those that don't workout.

like erick just said, the proteins are low, i need more than the 15% it custom calculates,
so , if you go into the food diary settings , you can change it .

I agree and changed my macros accordingly. I'm doing 40 carbs / 40 protein / 20 fat for now. I typically probably eat closer to 40/30/30, but my goal is to up my protein and lower my fat a bit (so psychologically the 40/40/20 is helping me :)).
