Cramping in Shin & Foot

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on a cramping issue that I'll get after I have a hard workout sometimes. My shin cramps all the way through my foot and my leg/foot essentially becomes immobile and won't bend without me manually doing it. It's incredibly painful and will typically last 5-10 minutes until I can bend my foot enough to ease the cramp. Is there anything that I can do to prevent this from happening?

Sometimes getting some extra potassium in your diet helps prevent cramps. Maybe a banana or glass of coconut water before your workout will help?0

I was having the same problem when I first started working out. I started eating bananas on days I work out and making sure that I am drinking plenty of water before during and after my workout. Haven't had any problems since. Hope this helps0
